LONEHAULER

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how LoneHauler ("LoneHauler," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website, our software platform, or interact with a hauler business that uses LoneHauler to manage their operations (a "Hauler"). If you are a customer of a Hauler that uses LoneHauler, this policy also describes how your information is handled on that Hauler's behalf.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account and contact information — name, business name, email address, phone number, and mailing/service address, provided by a Hauler or their customer when creating an account, booking service, or joining our waitlist.
  • Service and job information — service addresses, scheduling and route data, job history, delivery/pickup records, vehicle and inventory details relevant to the service being provided.
  • Payment information — billing address and payment details processed through our payment processor, Stripe. LoneHauler does not directly store full credit card or bank account numbers.
  • Communications — SMS text messages, emails, and in-app messages sent or received through the platform, including message content, timestamps, and delivery status.
  • Location and mapping data — service addresses and route information used for scheduling, dispatch, and mapping.
  • Usage and device information — pages visited, browser and device type, IP address, and general usage analytics collected automatically when you use our website or app.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the LoneHauler platform for Haulers and their customers
  • Schedule, dispatch, route, and confirm service appointments
  • Process payments, invoices, and billing on behalf of Haulers
  • Send transactional communications — appointment confirmations, reminders, receipts, and account notices — by SMS and email
  • Respond to support requests and maintain our waitlist
  • Improve, secure, and troubleshoot our platform
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

3. SMS and text messaging consent

By providing your mobile phone number to a Hauler or to LoneHauler, you consent to receive text messages related to your service — including scheduling confirmations, arrival notifications, billing reminders, and account communications. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.

  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Message frequency varies based on your service activity.
  • Reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages.
  • Reply HELP for assistance.

Opting out of SMS may limit a Hauler's ability to notify you about scheduled service. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Third parties we work with

We share information with the following service providers to operate the platform. Each processes information only as necessary to provide their service to us:

  • Stripe — payment processing and billing
  • Twilio — SMS text message delivery
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Google Maps — address geocoding, mapping, and route display

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of LoneHauler, our users, or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

5. Data retention

We retain account, service, and communication records for as long as an account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Waitlist submissions are retained until you ask us to remove them or until the waitlist is closed and converted to active accounts.

6. Your choices

  • Reply STOP to any text message to opt out of SMS communications
  • Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any marketing email
  • Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal and operational retention needs

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's privacy

LoneHauler is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of LoneHauler after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
